A target number flashes up on screen. Find a run of connected tiles on the 5x5 grid whose numbers add up to exactly that target, then trace them with your finger.
Each solve scores the target number plus the number of tiles you used. Hitting a target of 16 with two tiles scores 18; hitting the same target with five tiles scores 21. Longer paths are always worth more, so the quick two-tile answer is not always the best one.
High scores are kept separately for each difficulty level.
Stuck? Tap the hint button below the grid and a valid path will be outlined for you. Hints cost you five seconds off the clock, and you get three per run, so save them for when you really need them.
Check the music and sound effect toggles on the home screen - they are separate, so you can play with one on and the other off. Also check your device is not muted and the volume is up. Suji mixes with other audio, so it will play alongside your own music if you have some running.
Scores are stored on your device only, and are removed if you uninstall the app. They cannot be recovered or transferred between devices, because nothing is ever sent off your phone. This is a deliberate trade for the app collecting no data at all.
No. The game works entirely offline and contains no networking code at all.
No. Suji is free, with no adverts, no in-app purchases, and no sign-in.
Yes. Every target is checked against the current grid before it is shown, so a valid path always exists. If you cannot find it, the hint button will show you one.
Suji is designed for phones and is published as a phone app. It will run on an iPad in compatibility mode, but the layout is built for a phone screen.
Suji collects no data whatsoever. You can read the full privacy policy.
